Week Notes - 25 06 25

1 min read min read

This is way too long overdue, but another weeknotes!

weekly overview

Can’t really say it’s been a week because it’s been several. Since my last week notes the major thing that happened is a traveled to Nairobi and back! I wrote a bit about that trip here. The long story short though is that it was for my day job and really nice to revisit a place I used to live, even if everything wasn’t rosy. The hardest bit about it was missing my daughter’s 13th birthday (the big party though is in a week with family).

What I wrote...

  • Fable which appears to be goodreads with books and shows and movies.
  • Google is making some major changes to Android that affect grapheneOS.
  • Markdown Ninja looks like an interesting CMS.
  • Buttondown made a service to combine RSS feeds
  • Grid looks like a really interesting encrypted location sharing service.
  • Cool designs for global warming from Africa.
  • Love this. Reparations are coming to Tulsa.
  • Use BearBlog? Check this out ASAP! Bear is my favorite hosted blogging service.
  • What’s happening with immigration in the US is evil. This is just another example.
  • Annie on how she benefited from racism.
  • I don’t love AI or LLMs but do use it for coding support. It was interesting reading how Kerri uses it for story outlines.
