weekly overview

note: I’ve been trying to figure out where these fit in. So - I’m trying them here. I think wand3r.net might be looking into the sunset but we’ll see...

It’s been an OK week, as weeks go. School is winding down for the kids, work is staying quite busy and in-general time is marching onward. It’s hard not to be worried about the state of things but as much as possible I’m trying to do what I can and not stress too much about the rest.

Yesterday in particular was fun. It started with a soccer game. My son’s team is quite bad but they get better every week and he has a ton of fun so that makes it fun. We then dropped him at home with his sister and went to an open-air art market followed by a giant used book sale at the fairgrounds. After, my wife dropped me at the theater to see Thunderbolts.

What I wrote...

  • Crucial Tracks! It’s such a cool site and the associated webapp is awesome - it encourages daily sharing a song that’s important to you for some reason. Even better - it provides daily prompts to help along the way! (This is how I’m participating in #weblogpomo2025)
  • I started playing around with Silverbullet.md as a lightweight Obsidian replacement/alternative.
  • BBQ at omg.lol is doing a donation match up to 10k total for the month of May which is really cool. See details here.
  • Some older news of interest:
  • Trump pardoned a corporation. This is bad news.
  • If you follow “The New Evangelicals” at all, this site is well worth a look.
